Nicolas Gaudron



Nicolas holds a Master of Arts in Design Products from the Royal College of Art in London.

Nicolas has worked for 
IDEO in Palo Alto (California), for INRIA (French National Institute
for Research in Computer Science and Control) where he has worked on a new communication
control protocol and devices ("
Interliving" European research project of the Disappearing Computer
IST programme).

He has then joined Renault ''Prospective & Concept Car'' design studio where he has contributed to
the development of the Human-Machine Interaction group. Nicolas founded
IDSL
in April 2007.

In 2006, Nicolas co-founded with Virginia Cruz, an 
interaction design course at ENSAD (Ecole
Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs).

Nicolas is author of 9 patents. His works have won several awards, been exhibited and published in
France and internationally.

Nicolas is a member of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), SIGCHI (Computer Human
Interaction) and
AFIHM
(French-speaking association on Human Computer Interaction)

Virginia Cruz


Virginia Cruz has an engineering and industrial design background. She is graduated from l'Ecole
Polytechnique (Paris, France, X96), l'Ecole des Mines de Paris (Paris, France) and from the Royal
College of Art in London (UK) with a Master of Arts in Industrial Design.

After working for Electrolux in Sweden, Sony R&D in Paris, Virginia joined Orange France Telecom
Group as an interaction designer, first at the Smart Objects and New Interfaces Lab in Grenoble,
then at the ExploCentre Innovation Centre in Paris. Virginia has joined IDSL in April 2008.

In 2006, Virginia co-founded with Nicolas Gaudron, an 
interaction design course at ENSAD (Ecole
Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs).

er projects have been presented in lectures and exhibitions, such as her contribution to "the Eternal
Gandhi Multimedia Museum
